Soap Gets Environment Friendly

snipshot.jpg UK’s longest running daily soap Coronation Street takes up cudgels for the cause of environment. Recycle Now, England’s national recycling program has teamed up with the producers of CS to make recycling a part of their set. So now, viewers will be able to spot the green-wheeled bin on their TV sets. Even the industrial recycling bin and community recycling banks will be a part and parcel of the Medical Center.

The Head of Recycle Now, Fridey Cordingley, says, “CS is stanch to depict the real life and the issues currently affecting society as a whole. We have mentioned the subject of being more eco-friendly through a variety of actions and characters like Roy Cropper (played by David Nielsen) who assume recycling in his café, Roy’s Rolls. We expect this will cheer the communal to do the same and get on board with recycle now to recycle more.” A mighty noble thought, for we thought soaps only over-highlighted the vices in human nature. But CS has stepped out of the stereotype to bring about a pleasant change.
