Wall-E takes on Kleenex

Wall-E in the Greenpeace ad

Out cute li’l Walle-E is out to save the world once again. Yes, after getting the lazy ‘Earthians’ return to their planet from space and rebuild it, Pixar’s latest animated character is now busy in a charade against the Kleenex guys. Inspired by the Wall-E flick, Greenpeace has decided to extend its environmental themes by showing deforestation practices by the renowned tissue-brand Kleenex to the world.
Famous animator Mark Flore too has teamed up with this Greenpeace venture to create a cartoon that has Wall-E discovering a queer robot called Kleer-E. Upon pressing the button on Kleer-E, Wall-E finds himself watching a video that gives details about how Kleenex clear cuts trees leaving nothing but stumps behind.
There’s more to that. Ironically, the Kleenex boxes in the market flaunt Wall-E on their boxes along with a “This box is made from 100% recycled paper”, the tissues inside are actually made from trees that are cut down mercilessly by the Kleenex folks.
So, a direct attack by Greenpeace and with Wall-E at their side they are sure to succeed.
