Ecobee Smart Thermostat: Green Is In for your Heating System!

The number of gadgets that are rolling out into the market with a green outlook and an attempt to save your energy consumption is pretty much overwhelming. There are many tacky and quite fancy gadgets that not just save your energy with smart integration with your home system, but also give you an access to real time stats and other figures making the whole concept of energy-saving a lot more interactive and fun. But all of them come with a certain initial cost that just puts them beyond the reach of many and just turns away potential “eco-followers”. The Ecobee might just be on that fine line which makes it not an attractive option but not an extravagant one wither.

Ecobee smart thermostat allows you to track the heating and cooling energy needs of your home and ensures that you cut the energy wasted normally in this regard. The Ecobee is easy to install with a touchscreen display and the real-time stats of your energy consumption are streamed live to your desktop or notebook using its wi-fi connection. But the Ecobee will not come cheap as it will cost you a good $385, but the company claims that you will make that money back in your energy bills within a space of 12 to 18 months.

While power saving is really wonderful and helps immensely in cutting down both on energy-wastage and carbon footprints, some of the smart gadgets in the market today are just way too lavish and really miss the point. Beyond all the gadgetry, what you actually could do with is more people with energy-conscious outlook and of course a bit more common sense along with a lot less laziness!
