The Secret To A Healthy & Long Life

The secret is out! Thanks to British scientist Gary Williamson, the world knows the way to a healthy and long life. A professor at Leeds University, he has suggested that people must consume certain life essential food items on a regular basis.

The proposed list carries names of 20 functional foods that are rich in naturally occuring chemicals called polyphenols. Now, these have been known for many health benefits like protection against heart disease. Apparently, low fruit and vegetable intake makes you susceptible to chronic diseases.

Williamson suggested that coffee, black tea, green tea and dark chocolate defend cells from natural damage thereby slowing the process of ageing.

All that said, polyphenol-rich foods may not be essential for growth of the body but they are just right for maintenance and even reduce risks to diseases.
