Hello folks! We took a long break, isn’t it? I’m happy to be back here and bring you an amazing energy neutral residential tower in the city of Almere, Netherlands that bagged an award at the latest design competition for urban villas and a residential tower for the Cascade Park. This unique tower is the brainchild of Faro architecten bv housing about 57 residences.

Being too green may spell trouble for you, so say psychiatrists in the USA. As per the experts, the extreme environmental awareness is giving rise to a generation of ‘carborexics’.
The scientists claim that there is a thin line between behaviours that qualify for eco-leadership or bordering on the obsessive-compulsive. A survey pointed that seven per cent of Americans fall into the category of ‘dark green’.

I always wanted my bedroom (which happens to be my favorite place) to look like the one I saw in the fairytales. I always wondered if I would ever find a bed like the one on which Sleeping Beauty slumbered for years. Well, I’m happy I finally found one. Float, a cute green bed crafted from the sustainable, water-resistant Totara wood with base and canopy enclosed in acrylic fabric finished in Teflon fascinated me.

The secret is out! Thanks to British scientist Gary Williamson, the world knows the way to a healthy and long life. A professor at Leeds University, he has suggested that people must consume certain life essential food items on a regular basis.
The proposed list carries names of 20 functional foods that are rich in naturally occuring chemicals called polyphenols. Now, these have been known for many health benefits like protection against heart disease. Apparently, low fruit and vegetable intake makes you susceptible to chronic diseases.

Target has come up with an ultra cool collection of tees that will have teenagers wear their eco beliefs on their shirts. 100 per cent organic, the shirts come at an affordable $10 a piece.
So why organic cotton? Well, to start with it takes only one-third of a pound of chemicals to yield cotton for one shirt. In other words, this type provides clothes to almost half the world without the use of any harmful substances like pesticides, herbicides, insecticides etc etc.And the bonus on that is the feature prints or wording on tees which help further the cause- ideas of Earth, peace, nature and wildlife, basically all things green.

Green architecture seems to be the flavor of the day here with many green buildings taking shape and starting to go from the blueprint on the paper to the structures on ground. While we looked at the EDITT Towers in Singapore, we now move on to Grafton New Hall site in Chester, UK where Ushida Findlay Architects are all set to bring out a green wave in Park Homes. The new eco homes designed by the firm have a real flowing design with the rooftop of the five joined homes looking like an extended green wave trying to reach out to the blues!

There is a very special attachment between those who live in the urban jungle and the greenery that is scant around them. There are two vividly different sets of people who have contrasting approach towards green landscape. The vast majority either just does not care about plants and shrubs and if taking a walk playful engage in a bit of destruction by ripping off a branch or clipping away a few twigs of leaves. But there are others who take great care of the little greenery they can fit into their own balcony and corners of the living room. Here is a perfect gift for all of them.

Wondering where this stunning futuristic monument is situated? Well, this is just the design of one of the unalterable structures belonging to the triad of 1 Dubai, Park Gate and Park Avenue, of the Jumeira Gardens of Dubai. This picture shows the design of Park Gate, which encompasses three pairs of beautiful towers opposite each other connected by a covering of hanging gardens at the top which gives a cool atmosphere under it. A photovoltaic module is an interconnected assemblage of photovoltaic cells that are more commonly known as solar cells. In turn, an installation or assembly of photovoltaic modules or panels is known as solar panel. In October of 2008 at the Solar Power International show in San Diego, California, Schott Solar Inc. unveils its latest innovation: a new 225-watt, polycrystalline photovoltaic module. Dubbed Schott Solar Poly 225, this is state-of-the-art application for solar energy.
Schott Solar Inc is investing $100 million on a 200,000 square-foot factory for their newest photovoltaic module Albuquerque, New Mexico. The plant will focus on the production of the company’s 225-watt photovoltaic modules and receivers for concentrating solar thermal power plants.
